Ok, I'm posting this recipe because I attempted to make it at home and didn't have it with me. I tried a different recipe but it wasn't the same. So I'm posting this so I can always be sure to have access to it if I don't have my cookbook with me. I'll probably make it again soon because I've got almost all the ingredients.
Sheperd's Pie
from Great British Cooking by Jane Garmey
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons oil
2 medium onions, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 1/2 lbs ground lamb or ground beef
1 6-oz can tomato paste
2 bouillon cubes
1 heaped tablespoon flour
1 cup white whine
1/2 cup water
Salt
Freshly Ground Black Pepper
1/2 teaspoon tarragon
3 large potatoes, peeled
3 ounces butter
1 cup milk
1/2 cup cooked corn
2 tablespoons Parmesan Cheese
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Heat the oil in a large frying pan over low heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until soft. Turn up the heat and add the meat, stirring until it is well browned.
Drain off any fat and add the tomato paste, bouillon cubes and flour. Mix well and cook for a minute before adding the wine and water. Season well with salt and pepper and add the tarragon. Simmer gently for 15 minutes.
Meanwhile cook and mash the potatoes. Add the butter and milk, and season with salt and pepper.
Put the meat mixture in a large well-greased souffle or baking dish. Spread the corn over the meat and the mashed potatoes on top so that the meat and corn are completely covered. Sprinkle the cheese over the potatoes and bake uncovered for 35 minutes. Place under the broiler for a few minutes to brown the top and serve.
What are 10 things you've done that other people probably haven't?

1. Sent in a "Fanatic" tape for Mandy Moore
2. Written two crappy novels (you might have written one but who has written two crappy ones without any intent on improving?)
3. Gotten a 100 on an essay about Nick Carter in the 9th grade
4. Watched "A Walk To Remember" 3 times in a row - Once regular, once with commentary, once in French (my sister did this with me)
5. Poked Nick Carter in the stomach like the Pillsbury Dough Boy
6. Written an awesome fan fiction about Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake...that stuff was good but then fanfiction.net deleted their celebrity section. Oh well.
7. Made a Harry Potter feast and hand decorated cover cakes for the last 3 books.
8. Baked cookies, dropped them on the floor, and gave them to a teacher anyway (Jess did this with me)
9. Gone to countless Aaron Carter concerts for the sole purpose of having Nick show up at one...and having him not show up at a single one.
10. Looked at the clock, saw that it was 3:45AM, and being surprised that it wasn't that late. (This is what I just did)

I think all the music I listen to is good which is why I listen to it. Everyone listens to crap that other people don't like. What does it matter. There's lots of stuff a person can be insecure about. Music shouldn't be one of them. I'll listen to my teenyboppers and contemporary christian rock and my john denver and you can listen to your whiney crap and we'll both be happy.

I know I'm repetitive but I want to go.
First off, it was far too short. We only had 3 weeks to begin with, unlike undergrad where we got 4 weeks. But I flew home without any problems. I went up to C-ville to visit Van and see her dorm which is a billion times better than mine was...elevator...air conditioning...plus she has a bigger room because hers is a converted study. I proceeded to buy all my Christmas presents. Then I went up to C-ville again for the Mitchells Christmas party and to see Em, Deva, and Melissa...and Tiki Barber, the little black pug. Tiki is insane. Then I went home. Then I went to Maryland for Christmas. We had lots of presents. I bought Dillon Teddy Ruxpin because I wanted to buy it for someone. I got lots of Best Buy gift certificates for Christmas! Then we went up to New Jersey and New York. I went to Chinatown and got yummy Chinese cakes. Then I went home. Then I went to DC for New Years. We went to a lovely Indian restaurant where I almost passed out. Then we decided to leave at 11:45 and spent New Years on the metro. We're awesome. But Melissa made jello shooters and we had lots of mixers...not that we drank any of them. But I did have a very tasty alcoholic Shirley Temple courtesy of Melissa. Then I went home and hung out until I came back. Day of my flight home...flight was supposed to leave at 7:10. Got there at 6:10ish. Had to pay 50$ for overweight luggage even though the sign said $25. Then I get into the terminal and find out there would be a 30 minute delay. Sit around. Get on the plane, then they say that they have a problem with the oxygen for the pilot so they don't know what they are going to do. Takes them an hour to find out they are going to have to wait for someone to DRIVE an oxygen tank from DC...Flight won't leave until 10:30. Get off the plane stand in line for an hour to check with the desk about my connecting flight. Desk doesn't tell me anything I don't already know and can't print out boarding tickets for my connecting flight. Have to go back out because Stella is freaking out. Let Stella poop...It starts raining. Go back inside to discover huge ass line to go through security. Have to wait in line again. Sit around until we board. Finally board. Get to Atlanta. Get to Tallahassee. Wait around as everyone gets their bags but not me. Have to report my bags missing. Get a cab back to my apartment. Wait around to hear from them, don't. Finally hear from them the next day. God I hate Delta. Ok, that's it.
What are you most grateful for in your life right now?

I'm grateful my dog is cute or she'd be entirely worthless.
