Season 8

TOP 5
Wow this season has flown by. I wish I could say I was as impressed by this season's talent as the judges keep saying. But I'm not. Few of these contestants have done anything I'd consider great. I know everyone is so excited about how unique Adam is, but honestly I don't care about how unique a person is. I care about whether or not I like to listen to them. So yeah...I'll continue watching of course but I'm pretty much over this season.

Hm...didn't know that "Blame It" was a Jamie Foxx song...not that I like it. But yeah, I pretty much don't know anything about R&B artists. It'll be interesting/painful to see how they fill this hour with 5 contestants singing 1 song.

Kris Allen
LOL Jamie is such a vocal talent and all. Kris sounds a little too feminine right now. Maybe I don't appreciate the "sensitive guy" as much as other girls...but no. I need him to be a little more masculine while singing this cheesetastic song. I don't like this sudden upbeat portion either.
Judges say: Randy thinks it was his best performance to date. Kara is talking about technical abilities...he set the technical standard so high. Paula says he's transitioned into a sophisticated gentleman...near impeccable. Simon thought it was good but not as enthusiastic as the others...thought it was a little bit wet...safe/quite nice/incredible.

Allison Iraheta
Oh I hope she doesn't suck tonight.  She looks pretty tonight. Dress is a bit ug in the bottom but her hair looks cute. She's 17. oh dear.  This is such a pretty song. Makes me cry. I hope its good. Oh this is so good tonight. Yay Allison. Now America don't be deaf and please vote for her. She's so good. Perfection.
Judges say: Randy say something about octaves...that was the bomb. Kara says she's not nervous for her anymore...she's not a one trick pony...deep/emotional rendition. Paula says she had an innocent sensibility that was alluring and tender. Simon wants to know if she thinks she could win the competition at this stage. He doesn't feel that belief in her still. He tinks she may be in trouble tonight. Oh dear. Kara says he's crazy.

Matt Giraud
He looks tan today. He also is covering up his mole so that's a plus. I don't even know what Jamie is talking about. But this just makes me think of Constantine. Whenever Matt sings ballads he reminds me of Elliott Yamin...not quite as good but similar. I thought it was decent but not fantastic.
Judges say: Randy says it was a little bit pitchy, didn't quite come together. Kara says he wasn't emotionally connected to it. Paula ays he loved what he did with the song. Simon thought it was the only believable authentic song tonight....thought he was brilliant. Note Simon's completely ignoring Kara.

Danny Gokey
Hm...Danny doesn't ever really change anything. Its hard to see if he can be innovative at all. Of course he sounds good but I don't know what he'd do with his own material. I mean he's probably in the same boat as Taylor Hicks. But not a weirdo. He could bring in those middle age women fans like Michael Buble but Taylor didn't so I don't know. But he's clearly a good singer so I hope he is able to do something.
Judges say: Randy says he can sing. Kara says he had swagger tonight. Paula says it was Stellar. Simon says he had swagger and confidence...he proved a point with vocals and performance...outstanding.

Adam Lambert
Yeah I feel like I hear this song all the time. Its a good song but yeah everyone and their mom sings this song. Have those stairs been there the entier time. I haven't been paying attention to the actual performance, mostly just the vocals. But this intro lighting makes Adam's complexion look like cheese. Ok sounds like broadway show again. Ok I'll say that clearly Broadway singers can sing...but yeah that's not what I want fro y American Idol. It wasn't shrieky which was good and that one note was pretty huge. But yeah...like I said I don't hate this fool but I don't like him.
Judges: It was a little too theatrical/broadway but he is in the zone. Kara says her mouth drops open everytime he performs...confusing shocking...craziness. Paula says words cannot describe...he's Michael Phelps. Simon says he wants to win...best entrance we've had...ok so yeah they don't use those stairs normally.

Overall: Allison and Matt in danger...this would have happened regardless of performances tonight...going home...hopefully Matt. Love him but he's not good enough and Allison was so good tonight.

Don't feel like blogging tonight. Disco night is completely pointless and we all know Mat/Lil/Anoop are going home this week and next. I'm sure there will be lots of I Will Survive crap tonight, but whatever.

Season 8

Ok I can actually start blogging on time tonight. Dinner is in the oven but who knows when it'll be done. Also I burned my hand grabbing the pot handle out of a 400 degree oven. Yay! So I will intermittently putting my hand on a pint of ice cream because I don't have an ice pack.

Anoop Desai
Ok he's singing Usher. He has a good voice but I don't think he's making this his own at all. I don't know if I buy him as a smooth R&B singer like Usher. Usher makes up for being hideous by being slick. Anoop? I don't know.
Judges say: Randy says vocally it was cool but not the right song. Kara says he played it safe...and its like a bunch of frat guys dared him to get up and sing Usher. Paula likes his playful side...work on stage presence. Simon thought it was a complete and utter mess....came over as a wannabe...no originality...gave him a headache.

Megan Joy
I don' tknow this song. But that's ok. she's still rocking the wirdo hand gestures. She sounds alot better than last week. But she's not really growing on me. Either yo like her voice or not...she's never going to blow you away with something different. not terrible, not great, just ok.
Judges say: Kara says she wanted Adele. Paula wants a sensitive, vulnerable ballad. Simon says the song was boring, indulgent, and monotonous....she is becoming indulgent...bad song choice. Randy says it was like watching paint dry. God she's talking about "my fans" again...awesome.

Danny Gokey
What hurts the most? More Rascal Flatts. I really don't enjoy this song all that much. It makes me think of Jo O'Meara from SCLUB7 who sang this song a long time ago before Rascal Flatts even released it. Maybe he'll make it less annoying than the Rascal Flatts guys voice did. Not bad...still a bit boring but he's putting his spin on it. He's pushing his vocals a bit on this song. And as usual you believe that he really means what he's singing. Not bad Gokey.
Judges say:  Paula says it left her wanting more. Simon says it was his best performance. Randy says the competition starts here.Thank you Simon for saying don't mess with the mic stand. Kara says he moved everyone emotionally.

Allison Iraheta
Oh Allison keep being awesome. She's playing guitar and singing No Doubt. Gotta love it. Love her. She's changing it up a bit and I like it. But her hair is pretty distracing right now. I love that she does stay true to herself. She does songs where she can show emotion and soft spoken moments but also rock out. But I wasn't paying attention to her playing.
Judges say: Randy says she has the vocals, but wants to know what she's wearing. Kara says the rock comes out no matter what she's wearing...doesn't need all that stuff...a little distracting lol...not her best but good. Paula says something about her being serious about this. Simon says we can't ignore the outfit....she shouted the song...ok.

Scott MacIntyre
Oh what's with the hair? Ok good song. Hm...he sounds good tonight. Still nothing exciting or different. but he sounds good.
Judges say: Kara says smart choice. Paula says it payed off. Simon says his best perofrmance by a country mile. Randy says one of the best of the night.

Matt Giraud
Oh poor Matt. I really want him to not be in the bottom. I love him. Ok I normally don't like the Fray but this song isn't that bad. Ooh he starting somehwere weird. Changing it up a bit. I just think he sounds really current. Like he could have an album out now and he'd be successful. oooh falsetto...nice. I just like him alot.
Judges say: Paula says he abandoned what they love of him...soundalike. Simon says he didn't get it...uptight.  Randy says its not him. Kara says he needs to choose where he fits....but he doesn't deserve to go home.

Lil Rounds
Celine time. Let's see how this goes. Ugly dress but her hair looks cute...well it would if it wasn't in her face. I just don't like her voice. I just wish it was a bit deeper...its just a little too high. I'm just bored of her. She can sing but do I care?
Judges say:  Randy says it wouldn't have been his song choice but she did really well. Kara was surprised at her effortless voice. Paula says something. Simon says it was a wedding performance...old fashioned.

Adam Lambert
Oh great he's going to shreik again. my poor ears.  Ok here is him being annoying and making me want to turn the tv off again. Bu of course Paula is dancing. Seriously maybe I'm just out of touch with the music scene today because if this is what is on current pop records I might stab my right ear and become completely deaf.
Judges say: Paula says he's original. Simon says he's original.

Kris Allen
Oh Kris...this song is so overdone on this show...but ok. We'll see what's up. Ok staring off good. I like that it looks a bit less like he's just staring the girls in teh audience and in America down. I like his arrangement of it.  Wow my hand hurts.
Judges say: Randy says he slayed it. Kara says that is artistry. Kara says he's pacing the competition well. Simon says his arrangement was good.

Overall..
Going home...Megan, Lil, Matt...but Megan wasn't even in the bottom last week when she sucked so who knows...Anoop cold also be in danger...but I don't know. This season is not impressing me.

Season 8

I'm making dinner so forgive me if i'm not verbose in the beginning. Also the cheesy judge entrance is growing on me. Ok finished making dinner before they start singing. Good timing. This Motown montage is boring. I love Motown as much as the next person but honestly people who sing Motown songs are almost always boring and blah. But yeah, hopefully they'll be better this year...not holding out much hope though.

Matt Giraud
Oh he sounds so good in his practice clip but its a bit soundalike...hope he pulls it out.
...on an unrelated note...wow this Fish is good...not bad if I do say so myself.
He still sounds soundalike but I think he's good. Ooh he got up from the piano. Matt is probably one of my favorites this season. Something about him is just appealing. He's never boring or annoying. Ew dancing is a bit cheestastic but I like how he's trying to get up and show more personality. I love that he's not just sticking with what is safe by staying behind the piano even though the judges haven't told him to. He's a forward thinker. Love it.
Judges say: Randy says now he's a challenger. Kara says he's coming out of his shell. Paula says something about sexy cool vibe...he's respectful of the melody...and compares him to worn in jeans. Simon says it was a good choice of song and cool performance, voice suits song...he is now one of the frontrunners.

Kris Allen
Hm...oh he's just eye candy really. He always looks like he's playing to girls...I don't know what to make of him. He's an ok singer but there are alot of better singers in this competition. I think its not as much as an issue yet that he's here because its so early. But I can't see him making it through the top 5 or so without some uproar over him not deserving to be there...ok enough babble. Overall it wasn't bad but nothing special...nothing that warrants Paula standing up and clapping. She needs to sit down.
Judges say: Kara says he made his mark on the song and did everything right on that performance. Paula says its nice seeing him come into his own. Simon says he's having a good competition, he needs to start believe in himself.

Scott MacIntyre
Interesting choice of song...I'm very used to hearing this sung by girls...Carmen Rasmusen comes to mind and she didn't really do it well. Let's see how this is. Sounds boring from practice clip. Ooh he picked it up. I don't really think this is contemporary. Pleasant to listen to but old-fashioned. Its ok though Scott, America still loves you.
Judges say: Paula loved the girls around the Piano...when he feels it the audience feels it too. Simon doesn't seem to like it. It wasn't a great version of the song. It was completely the wrong song for you. He thinks he keeps picking the wrong song. Randy agrees with Simon. Kara says he brought tempo but didn't nail the melody.

Megan Joy
Ooh what is she wearing and doing....Ok from that little dance before commercial I am positive this girl knows exactly how weird she looks while performing and is doing it so that people will talk about her. Her practice sounds gross. Ew her voice sounds terrible. Ew...she just keeps hitting bad notes. Ok maybe I don't know music but I know what sounds good and everytime she goes high or loud she sounds off. And she's the first to go behind the judges. Ew...another sucky note. Ok anyway I think it sounded terrible and I don't usually mind her singing.
Judges say: Randy says it was a trainwreck...bizarre...so rushed and hectic. Kara agrees with Randy says she hit bad notes all over the place...mhmm. Paula says her stunning beauty takes her breath away, but she agrees with the other judges. Simon says she looked good but it was horrible....atrocious song...says she might be in trouble. She's the Vote for the Worst contestant so I don't think she'll go home yet. But she should after that sucky performnce and her reference to "my fans." Ew.

Anoop Desai
He sounds good in his practice clip. I hope he's good tonight. I don't know this song though. He sounds good but he still looks like every college guy I've ever seen...keep in mind I went to UVA which is basically the same as UNC but higher ranked (Go Hoos! Boo Heels). He sounds good but I wish he could sing an upbeat song and not suck so I don't have to hear ballads every week or that sucky  "Beat It." Isn't there a middle ground.
Judges say: Kara says he did a pretty good job. Paula says she wants to see more confidence but his phrasing, delivery, and falsetto is spot on and sweet. Simon says it was a great vocal but he looked like he was half asleep...he's had 2 good weeks, he's up there. Randy says he wants him to turn it up next week.

Michael Sarver
Aw Fat Nick Carter...I was busy so I have no comment.
Judges say: Paula says he was too vegasy....the song dominated him. Simon says it was...he couldn't wait for it to end...he was screaing and shouting...he is taking part in the competition but has no chance of winning. Randy says the song was too big for him...not great performance. Kara says this stage of the competition is not about singing its about artistry.

Lil Rounds
Ooh Smokey made the phonebook comment. Ok she sounds like Fantasia in the practice clip...I really don't like Fantasia's voice...so yeah. But this is nothing new. It'd take a miracle for me to really like any of Lil's performances. She'll always be good but I won't care. That said shes a bit shrieky in this song. That's all I have for this one.
Judges say: Randy says the front of the song was torture, wrong song, felt she was rushing. Kara stole Paula's thunder by saying she looks beautiful...it was screaming at points. Paula disagrees...lol except about her looking good....her vocals were fresh. Simon says something about her being emotional, an authentic tribute to moment, it doesn't give her a moment.

Adam Lambert
Doesn't sound terrible during practice. he looks so much better if he doesn't wear 8lbs of makeup. but man his hair is gross. Like he's wearing a halloween costume. Doesn't sound terrible though. Tonight is the first time I could see where he could have a career. He sounds like JT and Robin Thicke, etc. Neither of which I like but people clearly do, so its not a complete stretch that he'd sell albums. Still don't like him but not unbearable to watch like previous weeks. Smokey stood up for him. lol.
Judges say: Kara loves it. Paula loves it. Simon loves it. Randy loves it.

Danny Gokey
Oh Danny...they really are pitting him against Adam. I don't know. Ok good vocal but it wasn't anything spectacular.
Judges say: Paula says first class performance every week. Simon says it was clumsy and amateurish. Randy says he reminds him of great singers, not best performance, loved the energy and feel. Kara loved his personality, good but not great but she's still a huge fan.

Allison Iraheta
I hope she does well tonight. Poor girl needs to not be in the bottom. Oh please don't foget the lyrics. Worst thing ever. It's starting out slow. I don't know if I like this. She's a great singer but I don't think it was good until the last thirty seconds or so...when she blew up those vocals.
Judges say: Randy says she is one of the dopest singers in the competition. kara says 16? bottom 3? what? Paula says she's awesome. Simon says she's a survivor, great perofrmance.

Ok...predictions: Megan, Michael, Lil  could be in the bottom. Don't know.

Season 8

Grand Ole Opry Week
This week should be interesting. It's always cool to see how people make country songs their own. Probably won't be commenting too much tonight. I haven't eaten dinner yet and I have laundry to fold. Oh yeah I forgot that it was already the Top 11...so the Top 10 will go on tour. I haven't been to a tour since the Taylor Hicks year and that was just for Elliott Yamin. But before that I was pretty good about coming to the tour. I saw Season 1, 2, 4, and 5 Tours.

Michael Sarver
I love me some Fat Nick Carter. Um what is he singing I don't know most country. Still don't know this song but I think the harmonica guy is the star of this performance. Well he's authentically country but this is the type of country music I really don't care for. I only like girls singing stories of some sort. But yeah I still love me some Fat Nick carter.
Judges say: Randy says it was a cool song choice but didn't show his vocal capability. Kara likes seeing his personality, misses the big notes. Paula is telling me a Garth Brooks song, and he likes that he had fun, the genre suits him. Simon says it should have been good, couldn't understand a single word, a bit clumsy. God why does he look Nick Carter...Simon gives it a 1.2 on a scale from 1-10, Michael says at least it wasn't 0. Love it.

Allison Iraheta
Ooh awesome song. i love the movie, The Thing Called Love and this song is a big part of that movie. She is adorable an I hope she makes it really far. She looks cute tonight. She's so good. I think that she's got some Kelly Clarkson in her. Kelly was so good at all the different genres. I think she's doing a great job at making this song a bit more rock but still keeping in country. I hate when people take a country song and turn it into a totally different genre.
Judges say: Kara makes the alphabet comment, says she made it her own and she keeps getting better and better. Paula is talking about something, and says she'll make it in the business. Simon thought it was good but a bit tuneless in parts. Randy thought it was dope.

Kris Allen
Aw QT boy is singing a ballad. He makes me smile even though he may be a mediocre singer. No guitar tonight...I kind of like that he's not singing with it. It makes him more vulnerable. He's really good at playing up his appeal to the women. So cute and sensitive looking. I don't know this song either but I'm not really listening to the lyrics. Just looking at him being cute. God, sometimes I'm such a girl.
Judges say: Paula liked seeing him without the guitar and focusing on him. Simon thought it was terrific. Aw Simon.  Great choice of song, took control of the song, concentrated on him. The first time he thinks Kris has a shot at doing well in this competition. Randy says it was cool that he took that chance to showcase his vocals...tender moments...tender dawg. Kara didn't know that it was Opry Land...Very Kris Allen...lol at them trhowing vulnerable out there again and again. Exactly what I said.

Lil Rounds
Oh it's Carrie's song...I know it's a Martina McBride song but Carrie sang it a million times during her season. I know every word to this song and I don't even like it all that much. Well at least she's keeping it country. I don't like how slow it is. I really don't think this is good but she'll get to the middle and start singing big...or not...she's still slow and boring. Bored bored bored. Ok chorus is a bit better but still not anything special. I just want Carrie back. I think she's performing tomorrow. Love her so much. Apparently audienc eliked it.
Judges say: Randy thought it wasn't great before chorus, got a bit better, but didn't feel comfortable...I agree Randy...I do not agree with suggesting I Will Always Love You...easy way out. Kara says something about the second half and we missed that in the beginning....she stood her ground. paula says everything was going right for her tonight..vocals...looks...just sing 1 verse. Simon says it came over if she was one of those girls that sings at a wedding and is forced to sing a song that someone requested...it wasn't you.

Adam Lambert
Oh god please put on a shirt that covers that nasty chest. Seriously how can people still think he's attractive if they've seen him in HD. of course he'd do a middle-eastern version of Ring of Fire. But whatever. Oh god I'm so creeped out with his Constantine stare. He makes me so uncomfortable. Really I can barely stand to watch this. Why is he so theatrical about everything he does. Seriously it's like I'm watching some sucky off-broadway show. I don't care what America or the judges think. I DO NOT LIKE ADAM LAMBERT!
Judges say: Kara thought it was all a little strange...got drama...it was strange but she liked it. Paula thinks he's someone who stands out and is true to who he is. Simon says What the Hell Was That? Thinks there are alot of people throwing their television sets out the window, indulgent rubbish. Randy thought it was hot.

Scott MacIntyre
Ok I don't know this song. I wanted him to sing Concrete Angel...not whatever this is. Scott I'm bored...ok now that he's picked it up it's better. You're still inspirational but I'm not sure that people are gong to continue caring if you pick boring songs.
Judges say: Paula says tonight was another impressive and lovely performance and he works harder than most, the piano is a crutch and separates him from the audience. Aw he is adorable..."we can move it closer." Simon wants to know what Paula expects him to do, nothing wrong with sitting behind a piano. Simon think both performances from the last 2 weeks were similar. Randy wants to talk...he's looking for more hot vocals. Kara wants him to up his game...he brings class and poise to the stage.

Alexis Grace
Still waiting for her to grow on me but apparently she's one of the 4 people that are  in the top four of the "rigged AI." I don't know if its true or not but I'll believe it despite the fact that I think that Allison is more talented than her but less cute. She's singing one of my favorite country songs...Hm...its less annoying than the last performances but I don't know if i really feel it. I feel like whenever people sing this song they don't get that emotion that I think is important for this song...desperation. But yeah, ok.
Judges Say: Randy says it was vocally not great. Kara says it was flat. Paula is talking about something..about showing vulnerable side. Simon says it was ok...a little soundalike...little orignality.

Danny Gokey
Aw he's singing Carrie. I don't really like this song all that much but it's Carrie. Yeah this is why I don't like this song the first verse is so slow to get to anything I care about. The chorus is good though.
Judges say: Kara says beginning was slow and second half was great. Paula disagrees. simon agrees with Paula and thinks you can't start off screaming a song...hates what he is wearing. Randy agrees with Kara.

Anoop Desai
Oh I hope he redeems himself this week. I lost my Gorge. I don't want to lose this geeky goodness. Its a good song though so let's cross our fingers. Yeah this is what I'm talking about. Love that he's wearing a hoodie under a jacket...so College Boy Chic. I like that its understated emotion. I'd date him. :)
Judges say: Paula says Anoop is back....he touched her heart. Simon says he went from Zero to Hero...good choice of song...one of his favorite performances of the night.  Randy says something and Kara says something.

Megan Joy
Oh Megan...people love or hate you. I don't know. She's crazy crazy but there is something interesting about her.  Ew her dress is wach. It makes ehr boobs liike like sacks. I don't think I like it. It's a bit too much. .
Judges say: They liked it.

Matt Giraud
Ooh Carrie again. I like this song better than the other one..s. What is Paula doing? I just think he's contemporary and he makes every song sound new like it could be on the radio right now. Love him.
Judges: Paula says something. Kara says something. Simon says he outsung Danny and he reminds him of Michael Buble....which we've been saying forever. but yeah. Randy says he's got it going on.

Overall...Bottom should be Lil and Alexis.

Ok, so I wrote a bunch of stuff and then my computer shut off and I lost it all. So I'm not gonna rewrite just say what I thought about the first couple. I also had a header image but that too wasn't saved before my computer shut off.

Love him. It wasn't the best song or performance but he's still special.

Danny Gokey
So good. He's so much better than I thought he was. Awesome voice and I enjoyed his performance even if his dancing is hideous. Paula thinks he'll be in the final 3. Simon loved the voice thought dancing was hideous. Randy liked the voice and dancing.

Michael Sarver
Oh it's my future husband...oh wait guess not...lol But yeah, I know he's not even good but I love him anyway...lol omg in my original message I posted that I hoped someone would sing this song because the creepy Lisa Marie video was so fantastic...lol Michael. I love you and your cheesiness and the fact that you look like 2 of my future husbands...Heath Miller and Nick Carter. I think this was better than his semi-final audition but still not great.
Judges say: Simon says he isn't the best singer but made up for it with passion and heart. Randy says he's one of the best so far. Kara says tonight showed him that he really can sing. Why does Paula look so beat? Oh she likes him and she's rambling on about something.

Jasmine Sullivan
I really don't think this girl deserves to be here. Obviously she was groomed for this but she sucked so bad the first night and I didn't care about her singing Reflection. Ok so she's a decent singer but I don't really care for her. She could probably have a career but but once again I wouldn't buy that record.
Judges say: Randy is talking about him working with Mariah again...he thinks she did a good job. Kara is surprised too...oh she commented on it being a bit high...I agree. Paula is talking about something I don't understand...she's under? Simon says she made a good attempt...little bit robotic...she needs to lighten up a bit.

Kris Allen
Another not great singer who I love because he's cute. I can't help it...I'm superficial. Let's hope he redeems himself a little like Michael did. But he already sang a MJ song...let's see what he chooses this time. Oh wow he's so wholesome....lol he's married to a barbie blond. Wow clearly all the cute ones are taken. Oh he's singing Remember The TIme on the guitar...cool. Oh he's cute. I don't care if he's cheesy. I have a thing for guys on the guitar. Obviously vocally he's nowhere near the other guys...he's like this seasons Jason Castro...not the best singer but makes me smile anyway...that reminds me that Jason's brother didn't even make it.
Judges say: Kara states the obvious...that the girls love him...likes his guitar...aw he helped the other contestants this week. OMG what is wrong with Paula...lol noone knows MJ's catalogue better than anyone else...he's adorable sexy. Simon didn't understand what Paula was talking about...performance a bit clumsy...didn't think he should bring out the wife so early lol. Randy thought it was cool.

Allison Iraheta
Oh lol this home video is hilarious. I wish she wasn't so sad looking. She's got a fantastic voice and she'd be so much more of a contender if she was attractive. What is this song. Apparently I don't know MJ's catalogue as well as Kris. I don't know if I like this so much. A bit too growly, but obviously she likes that rock thing.  I'm not sure about this one. She's cleraly got a great voice but...hm...
Judges say: Paula is re-establishing the fact that Allison is 16...she's great and her hair looks great tonight. Simon thought it was a good performance...she knows what she wants to be...Randy says something. Kara says she's great.

Oh Gorge!!! Um what is he singing? This vocal is a bit wacky. I don't know why I love him so much but I do despite his cheesy performances.
Judges say: Randy says he has a good voice but song didn't challenge him. Kara didn't feel the performance. Paula doesn't like the song choice. Simon thought it was corny and he was out of his depth. Poor Jorge.

Megan Joy
Woah boobs...oh sorry I'm a girl so I can say that. Let's watch the Megan dance. ..ROckin Robin. She's so funny...but honestly I think she couldhave a career right now. Weird singers are everywhere today. Katy Perry, Duffy, Lady Gaga. They're all weridos but they sell lots of records. her dancing is a little less awkward for this song. OMG she cawed.
Judges say: Kara thinks she puts her mark on it but needs to show her range. Paula wants more. Simon thinks the song was stupid...vocals wasn't good, dancing bad...lol. Randy didn't think it was the right song.

Adam Lambert
Oh wow all the pictures that have surfaced of Adam make me laugh so hard. I'm going to start switching to regular fox instead of hd fox when he performs maybe it'll be better. lol it is better. you can't see his complexion and the sound is muted. love it. oh god people love him so much but really he is so over the top I can't even handle it. I will laugh so hard if he wins this. Good job America. Good job.
judges say: Paula is insane....never in the history have we ever seen someone so comfortable and seasoned on the stage. Simon thinks that was in a totally different league to everything else. Ew stop zooming in. Randy thinks he could make a record and hit the top of the charts today. Kara hopes MJ is watching tonight.

Matt Giraud
He's so awkward looking but I like his voice. Good hes back at the piano. Again I don't know this song. He's a very contemporary artist. I could hear his song on the radio right noww. Paula obviously knows this song. I like him alot. He's something a little different for AI. i enjoy him and his Michael Buble lookalike face.
Judges say: Randy says something about JT. Kara hopes to see him. Paula was blown away. Simon says good and meat and potatoes or something.

Alexis Grace
One that the judges loved in semis but I didn't care for all that much. Maybe she'll grow on me. All these girls have kids. Hm...so she's exactly the same as in the auditions. She's got a big voice...I think I'm starting to get old and hearing sensitive because her voice is just a little too high pitched for me...its like my mom talking about Christina Aguilera. We'd listen to her and my mom would be like...her voice is too high.
Judges say: Kara says she's back. Paula thought it was good but a little over singing. Simon thought it wasn't as good as she thought it was. Randy said something. Don't call 1-866-Idols-13...It's a sex line. Call 1-866-Idols-36.

Uhoh judges are going to have the final decision or something...lol oh no. This isn't good...its supposed to be American Idol...not 3 American Judges and 1 Brit Judge Idol.

Prediction: I have no idea yet...Jorge or Anoop may be in the bottom but I really have no clue.

Jackie Tohn
I'm still not sure if I like this girl. She's got personality and an interesting voice but I don't know if I'll get annoyed with her. Oh wow, what is she wearing. Her dancing is creeping me out. But she's definately a performer. Still not sure about her voice. You can tell she's been a performer but I do't know if she's exactly right for this show. Anyway, I'm still on the fence about her. But she got her wish, Paula is up dancing.
Judges: Randy not sure about vocals. Kara thinks she worked the stage and showed a big personaity but vocals not the best. Paula says she got her up dancing, she remembers her, voice not perfect but perfect is sometimes boring, she's a true performer. Simon thinks she has a good voice but she played the clown, the perfomrance was ungainly, song gimmicky, doesn't like the trousers.

Ricky Braddy
I don't know this guy at all. I think it's highly unlikely he'll make it through at this stage but I haven't heard him perform yet...Oh but he's doing a ballad. he's actually not bad. It's a ballad but it's not too boring. I'm not sure at this point whether or not america will vote him through based on his voice alone. He's definately got a good enough voice to be in the finals but he just didn't get any exposure on previous shows. Let's see what judges think.
Judges: Randy thinks he's great. Kara thinks it's great. Paula talks about him not being featured, thinks he deserves to go far. Simon thinks it was very good but he's not jumping out of his chair, he doesn't think he has star quality.

Alexis Grace
Obligatory pink haired girl. Having a hard time remembering her voice. Oh they told her to dirty up...so she dyed her hair pink. Ew why would she chage her look to that? Ok she's gotta have a big voice to sing Aretha. I don't know if she has enough soul to sing this song. This performance is boring me. I don't know she'll make it, but what do I know. She does have a decent voice but I don't care.
Judges: Randy loves it. Kara loves it. Paula loves it. Simon loves it. They think she's got so much soul...lol well . whatever. I said, what do I know...but I wouldn't compare her with Kelly. Kelly was something special.Watch Alexis win it all and prove me wrong. But really I only say what I think not what I think judges will think or what America will think...David Cook, anyone?

Brent Keith
Do I know this person? I'll have to wait to see his montage. lol techically difficulties. Uh-oh I needed that montage. I kind of remember his face. lol the girls are so crazy. It's a boring guy. He's singing county rock...better than a country ballad. I do't see star quality. decent singer but nothing special, but then again country has a huge following in America. Josh Gracin, who wasn't even that great of a singer made it through pretty far on AI and then went on to a successful country career. But that said, I don't care about Brent. I tend to like female country singers, not so much the guys.
Judges:Randy liked it. Kara thinks he was too safe and didn't show enough range. Paula agrees with Kara but definately thinks he could be a country singer andmentions Josh Gracin and bucky. Simon wants to know what happened to Bucky...he actually did have a fairly successful country career (something about a Different Time...Different World), Simon says forgettable. Brent thinks country fans won't forget it. His wife is dumpy and I'm superficial...deal with it.

Stevie Wright
I remember this girl being a good singer but her personality kind of annoyed me. Maybe because I'm so old and I don't get the young people. :) Oh well...brb menopause coming. Oh great she's singing Taylor Swift and she wants to showcase how young she is. Great! Ok terrible song, terrible start to the song. I mean just because she wants to be young doesn't mean she doesn't have to show no vocal talent at all. Taylor can't sing for crap. She can write cute little songs and deliver them convincingly but her voice is poop. And Stevie is sucking right now. If she makes it through...gross America gross.
Judges: Randy says no. Kara says no. Paula says no. Simon says it was terrible. Uhoh Simon says there is 0 chance...America will vote to spite Simon. lol Oh great her parents don't get it. You can choose a song by a younger artist that can sing.

Anoop Desai
I love Anoop and his geeky self. I hope he makes it. He's so geeky adorable its endearing. Oh he's singing Angel of Mine...this was my jam back in the day but it's a ballad. Let's hope he doesn't suck it. I'm bored already. He should have picked an upbeat. It wasn't terrible but nothing memorable. Poor Anoop. America may still vote him through because he's adorabl. Paula loves it though.
Judges: Randy thinks song was sharp. Kara agrees with Randy. Paula thinks America has already connected. Simon thinks it was too grown up, too serious.

Casey Carlson
Ok I remember this girl being a decent singer but she's obviously gorgeous. This could work for or against her. If she's super sweet and likeable than it'll be ok. If she's not...America is a bit touchy...but then again McPhee made it to runner up. But McPhee did have a great voice. I didn't care for her personality but she had a great voice. Let's see how Casey does. Lol this girl is so Midwestern. She's kind of cute. She picked an upbeat song though...let's see. Her dancing is a little awkward. Ew what's with her face. Um her voice isn't terrible. Oh this girl is so awkward. Performance kind of sucks. Ok, she isn't going to make it.
Judges: Randy thinks it was the wrong song and sounded like karaoke. Kara says everything was wrong. Paula thinks guys thinks she's exquisite, but song wasn't good. Simon thinks it was bad and didn't show anything about what kind of artist she'd be. Paula threw in a comment about her facial expressions. moms are delusional.

Michael Sarver
It's my big guy who reminds me of my future husband Heath Miller. He's got a good voice but he could be boring tonight...he'll likely be boring. Guys with families usually are. He's singing Gavin Degraw...this could be ok or suck alot. It's ok, nothing special. His performance is a little awkward and once again don't know if this shows what he's going to be as an artist.
Judges: Randy says he can sing, started off pitchy, yeah missing the soul, performance not great. Kara says not his best performance. Simon says it's tricky, they like him, but wasn't the worse tonight, might make it thorugh because people like him, aw Simon wants people to vote for him.

Ann Marie Boskovich
I've liked this girl from her audiiton because she is cute and girl-next door-ey. That's the kind of girl America likes usually. But she's got a good voice too. So hopefully she doesn't suck. Oh Natural Woman...let's hope she's got soul. She's not doing bad. Not sure about the soul at this point though. She's giving it her all though. You can tell she's really trying. Not the best ever but I still like her.
Judges: Randy doesn't think the song was right for her. Kara thinks the song is too big, lol she talked smack on Sara Bareilles...poor girl, Paula thinks she did better and she gave it her all. Simon says her voice is not good enough for that song. Don't know what her chances are at this point.

Stephen Fowler
Ok all I remember about this guy is that he forgot his lyrics on the final day of Hollywood week and left the stage. Don't remember his voice all that much. He sounds like he has a good voice. He's singing Rock With You. Ok let's see. He's got a cute smile. Kind of endearing. I don't know if I like this song though. It's ok, boring though.
Judges: Randy doesn't like the song, pitchy, wasn't good. Kara got more from him at the piano when he forgot the lyrics.  Paula thinks he should have sung David Cook. Simon wishes he would have forgotten the lyrics.

Tatiana Del Toro
Ok, I don't care if this girl can sing. She makes me want to die. Not giving her face time or blog time. The end.

Danny Gokey
Hero? Let's see. He's good. He always sounds like he really feels the song. I think he's the one person who is definately going to make it into the next round. He could always go the R&B route ala Elliott. Oh I don't know if I like that pointing at the end though. But yeah clearly they all love him. Kara is screaming.
Judges; Randy thinks he's the redeemer. Kara says he was great. Paula is still standing. Simon says it was goo, beginning wasn't awesome ending was great arrangement was weird. But yeah, he's definitely in.
